I trained as an integrative therapist in 2012, firstly working with adults and in 2014 successfully completed a specialized training to work with Children & Young People. I further added to my training in 2018, completing a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). While I work with adults, young people and children, I have a special interest in working with teenagers. I’m also an accredited member of BACP (British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists)
Over the years since 2012 I’ve worked in a number of different counselling settings including local community settings, primary school, private and charitable agencies, employment assistant providers along with my own private practice. Working in various environments both in teams and running my own practice has helped me gain invaluable experience in how I approach therapy with each individual person. While I consider myself as a skilled and experienced therapist, I keep an open mind and a curiosity which I feel allows the client to explore their own agenda.
What I love about my job is the joy of helping people find their own way restore and rebuild their emotional and mental wellbeing.
